MLC & SEAFARER DOCUMENTATION
Clear records for seafarer employment and welfare.
NavSure helps RPSL companies review and organise seafarer documentation around the agreed vessel, employer and placement arrangement. The exact scope and applicability are confirmed for each engagement.
PRACTICAL DOCUMENT REVIEW
Scope of support
A structured review of the documents and records relevant to your vessel and seafarer arrangement.
- Review SEA and CBA templates for the agreed employment arrangement.
- Organise repatriation, complaints and welfare procedure documents.
- Review insurance and financial-security evidence files supplied by the client.
- Prepare or review seafarer application, briefing and familiarisation records.
- Identify missing or inconsistent documents and provide a practical action list.
Documents to prepare
Share the records available for the specific vessel and placement. The starting list may include:
- Draft SEA and CBA, where applicable to the arrangement.
- Vessel particulars and MLC / DMLC documents available from the shipowner.
- P&I or other financial-security evidence supplied for review.
- Seafarer application and familiarisation forms currently in use.
- Existing complaint, repatriation and welfare procedures.
Typical deliverables
Depending on the agreed scope: document review notes, an organised document index, template or procedure comments, and a prioritised list of items requiring client follow-up.
Applicability note
This is an independent consultancy service. The document list depends on the vessel, flag, employer and placement arrangement. NavSure does not issue certificates or make regulatory decisions; confirm applicable requirements with the relevant authority or qualified legal adviser.
